Man Charged With Homicide Stabbing 22-Year-Old Behind Church In Harrisburg: Police

The 22-year-old man was alive when the police arrived on the scene but he later died of his injuries, now the police believe they have found his killer.

Damien Servidio was stabbed in the first block of North 16th Street in Harrisburg on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, around 9 p.m., according to a release the following morning by City Police and the county coroner's office. 

Nearly five months later, Davon Hairston, 29, of Harrisburg, was charged in connection with this deadly stabbing. 

When officers arrived at the scene of the stabbing they found Damien suffering "and (he) was immediately transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment," the police say. 

He died at the hospital and a homicide investigation has been launched.  

Hairston, "who was already in custody on unrelated charges," was charged on Tuesday, Aug. 1, police said.

His new charges include criminal homicide, burglary, and possession of an instrument of a crime, the police explained and court records confirmed.

His preliminary arraignment is set before Magisterial District Judge James A. Lenker at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, 2023, according to his latest court docket. 

He previously served approximately five years in prison for charges related to an aggravated assault and robbery in Dauphin County in Sept. 2011, according to another docket. 

His most recent offense was driving without a license, court records show.
